Govt declares Sept 7 national day of mourning for Rasuwa flood victims
Nepal, Sept. 3 -- The government has decided to observe a national day of mourning on September 7 in honor of those who lost their lives in the Rasuwa floods.
The decision was made by a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday afternoon, government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel said.
According to Minister Pokharel, the national day of mourning will be observed on the 13th day after the disaster, in memory of those who died in the floods.
The government has decided to observe national mourning on September 7, Monday. The national flag will be flown at half-mast at government offices across the country and at Nepali embassies and diplomatic missions abroad on the day.
