Nepal, Sept. 14 -- The government has intensified efforts to bring flood damaged road networks back into operation within the next month, with a target of resuming all land based connectivity-including roads and bridges-by mid October.

Priority has been placed on opening alternative routes and installing cable crossings and suspension bridges to restore immediate transport links, followed by the construction of permanent paved roads and bridges.
