Nepal, Sept. 19 -- Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has said the government is fully committed to both the letter and spirit of the Constitution.

Addressing a Constitution Day programme at Tundikhel in Kathmandu, Shah said the Constitution written in the blood of martyrs would be fulfilled through action.

"The government is fully committed to its allegiance to and adherence to the Constitution, and I reiterate this pledge today," he said. "The day the Constitution was promulgated comes every year, but we ourselves must bring the day when the Constitution is fully realized-through every honest decision, every transparent appointment and every service that reaches the doorsteps of citizens."
