Nepal, Sept. 6 -- Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa and party leader Dr Shekhar Koirala held talks on Sunday, focusing on the party's recent internal dispute and the need to maintain unity.

During the meeting, Koirala said the country's democracy, national interests and overall political situation were facing growing challenges, and that the Nepali Congress could not move forward while divided. He said he was prepared to make necessary sacrifices to unite the party.
