Former Secretary Kishore Thapa appointed TU Service Commission chair
Nepal, July 1 -- Prime Minister and Tribhuvan University Chancellor Balen Shah has appointed former secretary Kishore Thapa as chairperson of the TU Service Commission. According to sources at the Prime Minister's Office, Shah made the appointment on Wednesday.
Thapa previously served as secretary at the ministries of Urban Development, Education, and Tourism. After retirement, he contested for the post of Kathmandu mayor as a candidate of the then Sajha Party. He holds a master's degree in urban planning from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi. Alongside Thapa's appointment, Professor Regina Maskey has been named a member of the Commission.
