Nepal, April 26 -- The government has continued clearing riverbanks and other high-risk public and government land in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, a government team was deployed from early morning to demolish remaining structures and vacate the land.

Clearance operations have begun in vulnerable settlements at Gothatar Buddhachowk in Ward No. 8 and Manohara Tole in Ward No. 9 of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality, Kathmandu.

Before demolishing physical structures, security personnel assisted residents in removing and transporting their belongings.
