Nepal, March 3 -- The Election Commission (EC) Nepal has urged the public not to create fear or intimidation from three hours before the start of voting until polling concludes.
The EC has clarified that during this period, activities such as sending SMS messages related to the election, organizing musical events, or hosting feasts are strictly prohibited. It has warned that those found violating these restrictions may face a fine of up to Rs 50,000 or imprisonment.
According to the newly enforced election regulations, no actions should be carried out three hours prior to the commencement of voting and even after polling ends that could obstruct voters, polling officials, or personnel involved at voting centres.
