Nepal, Sept. 16 -- Ten posts of elected local-level representatives have remained vacant after the representatives joined other political parties, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the EC said four posts in Madhesh Province, three in Koshi Province, two in Bagmati Province and one in Sudurpaschim Province have remained vacant.

In Madhesh Province, the posts of ward chairperson of Shahidnagar Municipality-5 in Dhanusha, ward chairperson of Bideha Municipality-6, ward chairperson of Kamala Municipality-5 and ward chairperson of Mithila Municipality-2 are vacant.
