Nepal, April 8 -- Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has responded to reports that the current government has issued an arrest warrant against him and his spouse, former Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, in connection with asset verification and alleged financial irregularities.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook account on Wednesday, Deuba asserted that misleading and false information regarding his and his family's assets has been circulating in the media. He clarified that during his tenure in public office, he and his family submitted accurate details of their assets in full compliance with Nepalese law.
