Nepal, Sept. 22 -- The trade volume at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose to Rs 7.05 billion, the largest in the past one week.

After the glitches that were witnessed in the trading platform of the country's secondary market on Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 7.06 points to close at 2,654.28 points on Tuesday trading. The index plunged to the day's low at 2,638.93 points while it rose to as high as 2,662.72 points within one hour of the commencement of trading.

The share prices of 137 companies rose, while those of 131 companies fell and the prices of 11 companies remained stable.
