Nepal, Aug. 3 -- The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against the chief of the Sub-Division Forest Office in Bandipur, Siraha, for allegedly accepting a Rs 12,000 bribe from a service seeker.

The anti-graft body filed the charge sheet at the Special Court against office chief Ram Keval Rai Yadav, an eighth-level officer.

According to the CIAA, the investigation was launched following a complaint that Yadav demanded a bribe while verifying whether timber imported for industrial use matched the official seals and before returning the relevant documents to the service seeker.
