Nepal, Feb. 28 -- Nepal's imports of electric vehicles (EVs) from China surpassed those from India by nearly sevenfold in the first seven months of the current Fiscal Year (FY).

Records from the Department of Customs (DoC) show that more than 17,000 EVs, including two-wheelers and three-wheelers, were imported between mid-July 2025 and mid-February 2026. Of these, Nepal imported 2,218 India-manufactured vehicles, while imports from China stood at 14,475 units.Nepal travel guide
