Nepal, April 7 -- The people's representatives from Siddharthanagar Municipality in Rupandehi have asked the authorities for the operation of the Gautam Buddha International Airport at the earliest.

During the inauguration event of the Siddharthanagar Municipality's administrative building on Monday, the people's representatives urged the federal government to make a serious effort to bring the international airport into operation.

On the occasion, the Mayor of Siddharthanagar Municipality, Ishtiyak Ahamad Khan, viewed that the airport built by investing billions of rupees should be brought into operation as early as possible.
