Nepal, May 5 -- The government has recommended that President Ram Chandra Paudel convene a new session of the Federal Parliament beginning May 11.
Prime Minister Balen Shah made the recommendation during a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, proposing that both houses of the Federal Parliament begin their budget session at 2 PM on May 11.
The move comes after the government earlier postponed a scheduled parliamentary session that had been set for April 30 and instead recommended eight ordinances on April 27.
President Paudel subsequently authenticated the ordinances over the following days.
