Nepal, Oct. 9 -- The government has promoted Achyutmani Neupane, a joint attorney general in the government attorney group of the Nepal Judicial Service, to the gazetted special class and appointed him secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.

Information and Communications Minister Dr Bikram Timilsina said the Cabinet made the decision at its meeting on Friday.

The Cabinet also approved a mandate agreement with the World Bank related to the Nepal Earthquake Catastrophe Bond and the Formation Order, 2026, for a committee tasked with registering land in the names of people residing on bitauri land.
