Nepal, Aug. 28 -- The government has decided to deposit one month's salary of the Prime Minister and all cabinet members into the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the floods.

A Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on August 28, 2026, also directed the Ministry of Finance to prepare a relief and rehabilitation package for individuals and businesses affected by the floods in Rasuwagadhi, the Bhotekoshi River and downstream areas along the Nepal-China border.
