Nepal, Oct. 13 -- Flooding in the Budhi Gandaki River on Sunday morning has blocked the road connecting Dharche Rural Municipality to Jagat village in Chumnubri Rural Municipality, disrupting local movement and complicating relief and rescue efforts in affected settlements.

Laxman Gurung, ward chair of Dharche-3, said the road from Phalambesi towards Basik, further up towards Jagat, has been completely blocked. The damage is so severe that even pedestrians cannot pass through, ruling out vehicle movement.

"The road from Phalambesi towards Jagat is closed. There is not even a path for people to walk, let alone vehicles," Gurung said.

According to Gurung, the road near Harsyang Khola in Ward 3 of Dharche has sustained extensive damage. ...
