Nepal, Oct. 8 -- Deputy Mayor of Bhojpur Municipality, Nirmala Sherpa, has resigned from her post. She said she resigned from the deputy mayor position on ethical grounds after her party, CPN-UML, expelled her, not even allowing her to be an ordinary member.

Similarly, Nabin Pradhan, the ward chairperson of Bhojpur Municipality-8 elected from UML has also resigned from his position.

The UML also disciplined him for acting against the party's interest.
