Nepal, April 5 -- According to Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Khadka, chief of the District Police Office Bhaktapur, the operation was conducted across multiple locations in the district by mobilizing units under two police circles, divisions, and local posts.

"Such operations were carried out in the past as well. Starting today, we have resumed the sweep operation by deploying all units under the district," Khadka said. "Those found not involved in criminal activities will be released after investigation."

Police said the detainees were picked up for engaging in activities that disturb public peace, including suspicious behavior, drug use, gathering in groups for unlawful acts, and creating public nuisance.
