Nepal, July 17 -- The Bagmati Provincial Government has reduced the number of ministries from 14 to eight as part of an administrative restructuring, while retaining all 14 ministers in the cabinet

Following the restructuring led by Chief Minister Indra Baniya, six ministers have temporarily been left without departmental portfolios. They are Kiran Thapa Magar, Urmila Nepal, Bharat Bahadur KC, Suresh Shrestha, Jayaram Thapa and Binu Kumari Rayamajhi Poudel.

The provincial government said the restructuring aims to improve administrative efficiency and reduce government expenditure. Portfolios for the six ministers are expected to be assigned after the next Cabinet meeting.
