Nepal, May 15 -- The annual report of the Auditor General for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS has been submitted to President Ram Chandra Paudel.

At a programme held at Sheetal Niwas on Friday, Auditor General Toyam Raya presented the report to President Paudel.

On the occasion, President Paudel expressed concern over the rising volume of irregularities in government expenditure, saying it reflects weakening public accountability, transparency, and financial discipline in public institutions.

He said public officials must become more responsible to ensure the settlement of audit irregularities and strengthen financial discipline.
