Nepal, June 25 -- The Ministry of Health and Food Safety has said that there are currently around 10,000 vials of anti-rabies vaccine in stock.

Ministry's Joint-Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said that there are currently 10,011 vials of anti-rabies vaccine in stock at central, provincial and district-level hospitals.

According to him, with the support of the World Health Organization, 2,500 vials of anti-rabies vaccine have already been received and an additional 4,500 vials are expected to arrive in the next few days.

He said the Ministry has taken necessary steps in coordination with relevant agencies to ensure the continuous provision of essential rabies prevention and treatment services across the country. It has also asked...
