AIIB Vice-Chair Dr Wagle urges greater investment in Nepal's infrastructure
Nepal, Sept. 30 -- Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has urged the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to increase investment in Nepal's infrastructure and productive sectors while making its financing more accessible to countries like Nepal.
Dr Wagle made the remarks during the AIIB's 2026 Annual Meeting in Doha, Qatar, where he called for greater investment in roads, electricity, communications and information technology.
He also urged the bank to make its lending as favorable as possible to Nepal's needs and help attract domestic and foreign private capital for productive investment.
