Nepal, Aug. 1 -- Nepal and China are marking the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations today.

The two countries formally established diplomatic ties on August 1, 1955. Since then, bilateral relations have expanded across a wide range of sectors, including politics, trade, economy, infrastructure, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

Marking the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming said China is ready to work with Nepal to carry forward their longstanding friendship and further strengthen the Strategic Partnership of Cooperation featuring everlasting friendship for development and prosperity, with the aim of delivering greater benefits to the people of both countries.
