Nepal, Oct. 22 -- A total of 3,585 passengers benefited from free bus services operated by the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force (APF) during the Dashain festival.

Similarly, APF Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa said that two APF buses provided free transport to 2,179 passengers over three days, beginning on October 19.

The buses operated in the Kathmandu Valley on Maha Ashtami, Maha Nawami and Bijaya Dashami.

The free bus services were provided to facilitate passenger movement amid a shortage of public transport during the Dashain festival.
