Nepal, July 28 -- Twelve people were injured, four of them critically, after a passenger jeep overturned in Halkandara area on the border of Lekbeshi Municipality-5 and 6 in Surkhet on Tuesday morning.

The Mustang jeep (Bhe 1 Kha 540), heading from Dangagaun to Dasharathpur, lost control while climbing an uphill road and overturned, police said.

Among the injured, four passengers - 22-year-old Sushma Karki, 26-year-old Tilsara Siris, around 70-year-old Amrita Karki, and around 70-year-old Khagisara BK, all residents of Lekbeshi-6 - sustained serious injuries to their chest, body, and back, according to police.

The jeep driver, 23-year-old Dipesh Pun of Lekbeshi-4, suffered minor injuries to his leg.
