Nepal, Sept. 5 -- The bodies of 1,344 people who died in the devastating Bhotekoshi River Flood in Rasuwa on August 26 have been recovered so far, while 4,898 people remain missing.

According to the latest details released by Nepal Police Headquarters this morning, the recovered bodies include 52 boys, 33 girls, 269 women and 489 men. Another 501 bodies remain unidentified, Nepal Police Central spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General Abi Narayan Kafle said.Nepal economic analysis

Of those still missing, 2,448 are Nepali men, 482 are Nepali women and 1,350 are people reported missing by phone. Among foreign nationals, 274 men and 344 women are also unaccounted for, DIG Kafle said.
