Nigeria, Aug. 24 -- A woman has died while two other persons are receiving treatment following a road crash along IET New Horizons Road in the Old Airport Quarters area of Minna, Niger State.

The crash occurred when a vehicle reportedly driven by the Registrar of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Danladi Mallam, suffered a tyre burst while in motion.

According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle lost control and veered off, hitting a woman standing beside a commercial motorcyclist.

The woman was reportedly negotiating the fare for a trip with the motorcyclist when the vehicle crashed into them.

The registrar's brother was also in the vehicle when the incident occurred.
