UBA appoints new non-executive director, awaits CBN approval for half-year report
Nigeria, Aug. 20 -- United Bank for Africa Plc has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Puri as a Non-Executive Director of the bank, subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The appointment was disclosed in a regulatory filing signed by Bili Odum, the Group Company Secretary, on Thursday.
Speaking on the appointment, the Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, said the board was confident that Mr Puri's extensive experience, depth of expertise and sound judgement would further strengthen the group's growth.
