Nigeria, Oct. 6 -- Exactly a week ago, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, now jokingly renamed a citizen of Kano with a Northern-sounding name Ashiru Bala Ahmadu Tanimu, whatever that means by former Governor Abdullahi Danguje, returned to Nigeria after a controversial 30-day so-called working leave in Europe. His 30-day working leave was in every sense a violation of the 1999 Constitution, the idea of "a working leave" in itself being a misnomer, the failure to obey the provisions of Sections 145 (1) and (2) an affront, and historically a reminder of similar acts of contempt under the Umar Yar'Adua and Buhari administrations.
