Nigeria, Aug. 26 -- President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to the family and colleagues of veteran journalist and publisher of The Eagle Online, Dotun Oladipo, who died on Tuesday at 56.

President Tinubu, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described Mr Oladipo's death as a loss to Nigeria's media industry and the country.

Mr Oladipo, a former Political Editor at PUNCH Newspapers, died suddenly on Tuesday.

The Eagle Online publisher had a journalism career spanning nearly three decades and worked with several Nigerian newspapers before establishing the online publication.
