Nigeria, June 29 -- The city of Taipei, Taiwan, became the meeting point of hope, service, friendship and global leadership as over 35,000 Rotarians and Rotaractors from across the world came together in a "magical island" gathering for the 117th Rotary International Convention held from June 13 to 17, 2026 with theme, "Build connection in Taipei." This marked the second time Taipei hosted the event, the first time being in 1994. Taipei was originally selected for the 2021 convention but it was cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic.
