Nigeria, Feb. 27 -- Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has been suspended by his Tanzanian club, Singida Black Stars, over alleged match-fixing.
Obasogie, who was part of Nigeria's squad that finished third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, has been handed a three-month suspension pending investigation. The club announced the decision in a public statement issued on 27 February 2026.
The goalkeeper featured for Singida Black Stars in a 1-1 league draw against Namungo just a day before the suspension was confirmed.
In the official notice, the club stated:
