Seven die, two injured in auto crash along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
Nigeria, Aug. 24 -- Seven people were killed and two others injured after three vehicles collided in the early hours of Monday around Kara on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The crash, which occurred at about 12:03 a.m., involved a white HOWO CNG/CIMC ENRIC truck, a white MACK trailer and a Mitsubishi Canter with registration number JJJ920YA, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said.
According to the Ogun State Sector Command of the FRSC, all nine people involved in the crash were male. Seven died at the scene, while two others sustained injuries and were taken for medical treatment.
The FRSC said its Ibafo Outpost received information about the crash shortly after it occurred and arrived at the scene about five minutes later.
