Nigeria, Nov. 3 -- The police in Imo State have arrested a 26-year-old man, Ifeanyi Chukwu, for allegedly pushing a 17-year-old girl from a two-storey building in the state.

The police spokesperson in the state, Henry Okoye, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Mr Okoye, a deputy superintendent of police, said the suspect allegedly pushed the victim, Chiamaka Chukwuokore, from the building on Sunday in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

He said the victim was said to be the niece of the suspect's unnamed girlfriend.

"The incident reportedly occurred on November 1, 2026, at about 1300 hours, following an alleged altercation between the suspect and the victim.
