Nigeria, Aug. 28 -- The Osun State Police Command has arrested four suspected political thugs in connection with the killing of two persons during a violent confrontation at the Naira and Kobo area of Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of the state.

PREMIUM TIMES reported that the incident occurred on Monday amid attempts to allegedly take control of the garage following the re-election victory of the state's governor, Ademola Adeleke.

However, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, disclosed on Thursday while briefing journalists in Osogbo that the command has arrested four suspects found to have been involved in the incident.
