Nigeria, Sept. 15 -- Street Mentors Network, a youth-focused nonprofit organisation, in partnership with Theolight Global Foundation and other stakeholders, will convene a conference in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to promote family-based alternative care for vulnerable children.

The Akwa Ibom Alternative Care Conference 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, 26 September, at Uranus Hotel, Aka Itiam, off 2-Lane, Uyo, from 10 a.m.

The conference is themed, "Mobilising Families for Alternative Care of Vulnerable Children."
