Opposition lawmakers accuse Tinubu of prioritising 2027 over raging national crises
Nigeria, June 17 -- The Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of prioritising political calculations over governance, citing worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and what it described as attempts to weaken opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing journalists on Wednesday in Abuja, the caucus led by the Minority Leader of the House, Fred Agbedi (PDP, Bayelsa), said Nigeria was facing a combination of security, economic and democratic challenges that required urgent attention from the federal government.
