Nigeria, Sept. 25 -- The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved for the Federal University Dutse (FUD) to establish a Faculty of Law and full-time academic activities for 30 new undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The approval was conveyed in a letter dated 11 September, signed by the NUC Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar Girei, and addressed to the vice-chancellor of the institution, Ahmad Gumel.

The approval marks a landmark expansion for FUD, introducing cutting-edge disciplines in artificial intelligence, allied health sciences, legal studies, modern education, and advanced postgraduate research.
