NPA moves to cut export bottlenecks, targets forex inflows
Nigeria, Oct. 6 -- The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has embarked on efforts to remove bottlenecks hampering Nigeria's non-oil exports, with a renewed push to expand export channels, improve cargo processing and boost foreign exchange inflows into the economy.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the NPA, Abubakar Dantsoho, disclosed this at the 21st International Trade Fair in Abuja, held under the theme, "Resilient Trade, Taxation, and the Economy." The trade fair was held from 25 September to 6 October.
He said the authority was strengthening port infrastructure and extending maritime logistics into the hinterland to enable exporters to access global markets more efficiently.
