Nigeria, March 7 -- Three months after actor Olanrewaju "Baba Ijesha" James was released from prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, he has broken his silence.

On 15 November 2025, PREMIUM TIMES reported that Baba Ijesha was freed three years into a 16-year prison sentence handed down by the Ikeja Special Offences Court in July 2022.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo delivered the judgment after a rape trial that spanned more than 12 months, following his arrest and arraignment in June 2021.

However, in a music video titled "Eniwaye Daran" uploaded to his YouTube page on Thursday, the actor recounted the events that led to his imprisonment and detailed his experiences behind bars.
