Nigeria, Sept. 13 -- Folagade Banks has spent years proving that a memorable character can make Nigerians stop scrolling. With A Mama Deola Wedding Story, he attempts the more difficult task of proving that the same character can keep them watching for the length of a feature film. That gamble does not entirely pay off.

Directed by Femi Adebayo and produced by Banks, A Mama Deola Wedding Story is Kava's first original film.
