Nigeria, June 24 -- The Lagos State Police Command says it is investigating a case in which the Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria, Oluwasegun Alebiosu, received a parcel containing live ammunition at his residence in Lagos.

The Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, confirmed the incident on Tuesday during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Ikeja, describing it as a serious matter currently under investigation.

Mr Fatai stated that the parcel was delivered to the bank chief's residence, where it was received before being opened, revealing two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition.
