Nigeria, Nov. 4 -- President Donald Trump has been lashing out on Truth Social as Republicans suffer defeat at a staggering scale in the US midterm election and ceded control of both chambers of Congress to the Democrats.

Republicans not only lost seats in closely contested areas in both the Senate and House, but they also lost in strongly Republican states like Texas and South Carolina, a development that is now described as the blue tsunami.

They also lost districts they had redrawn to their advantage and expected to win easily.
