Nigeria, June 24 -- Veteran entertainer and social activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has described marriage as a continuous process of "management," saying disagreements remain a regular feature of his relationship with his wife, Diane Oputa, after nearly five decades together.

Speaking during an interview on Yanga FM, the 75-year-old said no marriage is free of conflict, adding that the ability to resolve disputes is what sustains long-term unions.

"All marriages are management, including my own," Mr Oputa said.

"Me and my wife, we are like Tom and Jerry now. No day we won't quarrel, and no day we won't fix the quarrel."
