Nigeria, May 24 -- A senator, Ireti Kingibe, has narrated how she and many others were attacked at the headquarters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday.

In a statement she shared on X on Saturday night, Mrs Kingibe said she went to the ADC's Abuja secretariat to "observe and check on the transparent distribution of materials for the ADC FCT National Assembly Primary Elections."

The senator representing Abuja said the man, identified as "Tijani Mubarak entered the room, accompanied by four other men."
