Nigeria, Aug. 3 -- The Australian High Commission in Nigeria has congratulated Team Nigeria for its outstanding performance at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, where Nigeria emerged as Africa's highest-ranked nation.

In a message shared via their official Facebook page, the High Commission also hailed Team Australia for topping the medals table for a third consecutive Commonwealth Games.

"Congratulations to Team Australia on topping the medal table at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games for a third consecutive Games," the High Commission said.

It added: "We also celebrate Team Nigeria, Africa's top-performing nation, on an outstanding seventh-place finish.
