Nigeria, Oct. 16 -- Some Nigerians on social media have threatened to boycott Davido's three December concerts in Lagos after Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

The backlash followed Mr Adeleke's appointment as the Osun coordinator of Mr Tinubu's 2027 presidential campaign, a development that surprised some supporters because the governor belongs to the Accord Party.

PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that Mr Adeleke pledged his support for the president during the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council inauguration at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday.

The governor said Mr Tinubu needed another four years to consolidate his administration's economic reforms.
