Nigeria, May 13 -- The British Deputy High Commissioner, Gill Lever, has declared the British Government's desire for free, peaceful and credible elections in Nigeria in 2027.
However, the envoy said Drowning Street has no favourite political party in Nigeria and will not interfer with local political matters.
Mrs Lever expressed these views when she paid a courtesy visit to the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, at Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin, on Tuesday.
"We all want to see elections that are peaceful, that are inclusive, that are credible with space for participation, with respect for institutions" she said.
"We do not favour one party or another and we would never be in business of telling Nigerian people how to vote. ...
