Nigeria, Aug. 16 -- The performance of the Independent National Electoral Commission's Result Viewing Portal (IReV) during the 2026 Osun governorship election offers an opportunity to evaluate the platform's preparedness ahead of the next general election cycle.

IReV was launched to make electronic copies of polling-unit result sheets publicly accessible, providing citizens, political parties, journalists, and election observers with an additional way of tracking the results process and comparing polling-unit records with figures subsequently presented during collation.
